Meet Lauren - Growth Lead
We're keen for you to get to know us better. This month, we talk to Lauren Hale who is the Growth lead at Sprive.
Tell us a bit about what you do here.
I’m the Growth Marketing Lead, which covers anything to do with growing Sprive’s customer numbers. This can mean anything from running different marketing campaigns, looking at our branding, how we speak to our customers, and making sure we’re providing the best service to our customers so they tell their friends, how we want the product to look and feel for a customer and anything in between!
What does your day-to-day look like?
Every day is different depending on what the business priorities are for that moment, which is really exciting and means I work with lots of different people in the company and externally which is my most favourite thing about Sprive. Right now I’m focusing on how we speak to our existing customers and making sure we’re providing them with really insightful and valuable information at the right time.
However, I could be working closely with partners on developing acquisition campaigns or developing content with them to make sure we’re getting the right message across. Or working with our COO on how we want the product to look, and what copy we want in-app and be used by our customers for growth.
It really varies and doesn’t always mean solely customer growth, it could mean looking at how we can make sure we’re providing the best features and service to our customers so they’re engaged and also bringing friends to join Sprive!
What are the growth plans for Sprive?
We have huge plans for Sprive for both customer and product growth which is super exciting! We’re bringing out new features all the time and this is only just getting started, we want to make sure that we’re giving our customers the best experience possible which is at the heart of Sprive, and in turn, we think this will mean more people will join Sprive.
As well, we have lots of ideas for exciting campaigns and partnerships to come and I’m really excited to start showing these to our customers.
What were you doing before you worked at Sprive?
Before Sprive, I was working at Chip, a savings and investments app, mainly looking after the Partnerships function to help bring on more customers.
Why did you decide to join Sprive?
I loved how passionate everyone was when I spoke to people on the team which was truly inspiring and motivating and I knew I just had to get involved.
If you had all the money in the world, what would you be doing?
I love travelling so I would probably spend a lot of time in lots of different places and seeing the world. I think the first place I would go is back to South America.
Tell us something unexpected about yourself.
I have a black belt in Tae-Kwon Do and was British Champion - this was a very long time ago though!
